Today we done our first 5 hour session of editing, it went fairly well. However it did take us a while to settle in and start editing fluently. There was an issue of the Mac not importing the shortened clips I had prepared earlier from my USB causing us to have to start from scratch and cut them down again, but once we started there were no major problems. We did get a good bulk of editing done which should make tomorrows session less strenuous. Our group did come across another issue towards the last hour of our session which was cutting down the music to the right size and getting it to play in the scene that we wanted it to play in. Overall as group we found that iMovie (software used for editing) was tricky at first but we got the hang quite quickly with a bit of guidance from another AS and A2 student.
WWW - WHAT WENT WELL
- As a group we edited quite fluently their were no long periods of time where we didn't know what to do once we got the hang of it.
- We done most of the editing day whilst getting use to the actual software and Mac.
- As a group we all contributed to any problems or issues that we overcame.
EBI - EVEN BETTER IF ...
- We could have settled in quicker as a group if we did research on the software we were going to be using beforehand i.e. going into the mac suite a week before editing days to edit our preliminary task.
Similar to the Mac we used as a group. |
